Coffee Creek Studio ~ Indianapolis Engagement Photographer

This was a really special engagement session for me. Kelsey mentored with me for newborn photography. I love mentoring photographers, it is such a fulfilling experience for me. I am so excited when I can share my knowledge with other photographers to help them succeed. During the time Kelsey was mentoring with me, her boyfriend, Tyler, called me and asked if I could help him do a surprise proposal at the end of her mentoring. Uh, are you kidding? Of course I want to help make that happen!

At the end of her time mentoring, I told her the last thing we’d do was a session with a “high-end” client. When we got to the session location, Tyler was waiting to pop the question. I photographed the proposal, and then we came back and did a full engagement session after.

Kelsey and Tyler brought their fur babies with them to the session, and these dogs were so good during the session! The fall is such a fantastic time to do sessions, the light is golden perfection before sunset. I also love how cozy everyone looks, even the pups!

I was honored to be a part of the proposal, and such an important time in Kelsey and Tyler’s life. Kelsey and I have become very good friends since her mentorship. Just as I know God brought Kelsey and Tyler together, I feel confident that the Lord brought Kelsey into my life to be a lifelong friend.

I cannot wait until their wedding in October! Congratulations Kelsey and Tyler!
