Coffee Creek Studio ~ Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

Baby boy Duncan was another natural newborn session I did recently. These smaller sessions are minimalistic. I use mostly neutral colors, focus just on the baby, and do less intricate posing. Before we talk about anything else, I have to mention, this newborn had the prettiest hair color ever! It was coppery red perfection. This baby boy’s hair color was made to stand out against neutrals.

I only covered up the beautiful coppery perfection for one pose with a cream Rip Van Winkle cap, but baby boy Duncan looked super cute then too.

I love flaky baby skin, so I knew I had to get a good close up of this newborn’s hands. It is such a quintessential thing for newborn’s skin to be flaky, and I always like to capture the essence of what your baby is like right when they are born. These memories should last a lifetime.

Duncan was so soundly asleep that I didn’t get many wide eyed images, and he just kept posing so perfectly. I got to put him this way and that way in my little wooden bowl. I decided his splash of color should be a deep blue because his hair looked so great against it.

Welcome to the world baby Duncan. I hope you enjoy the peak at his natural newborn session.
