Coffee Creek Studio ~ Indianapolis Wedding Photographer
One of the best parts of my job as a wedding photographer is how special every single wedding is. Katilyn and Doug’s summer wedding at Coffee Creek Ridge was no exception.
Katilyn sent a wedding day survival box to Doug, and it was so incredibly sweet and humorous. Katilyn and Doug are expecting their first baby, and she put in the box an ultra sound photograph to remind Doug that this is not the only exciting day they will experience this year! Doug wrote Katilyn a letter that thankfully she read before her makeup was done!
Katilyn had pictures attached to her bridal bouquet of her grandparents, and notes from them both. Even though loved ones may not be able to attend, it is incredibly special to honor them and keep them close during these special days.
The bride and groom did not do a first look before the ceremony, but they did hold hands on either side of a doorway before they walked down the aisle to say a quick prayer. The ceremony was sweet and the reception was even sweeter. They had cupcakes that perfectly matched their lavender and mint colors, and a small two-tiered cake with the cutest silhouette cake topper. They honored their upcoming baby in every way at their wedding, and the cake topper was of a groom kissing the bride’s belly.
When they cut the cake, they both feigned kindness and acted like they weren’t going to smash cake into the other one’s face. Almost simultaneously they went for it and there was icing everywhere!
We wish every happiness for Katilyn and Doug, and all their big days ahead!
